Top 5 Festivals to Visit Near Minocqua This Summer

Anyone who's visited the Minocqua area during summer knows there are tons of festivals and events to choose from. Some are massive gatherings of people that share similar taste in music, others are intimate circles offering a look into the craftsmanship of local artisan goods. Some showcase the rich Native American culture of the area and others are simply for the fun of it all! After asking a handful of our guests, we compiled what we feel are the area's top 5 festivals to visit near Minocqua this summer!

For all those who wish to kick back and relax on the shores of Rest Lake (yes, you read that right - rest lake), this FREE weekly music festival (held Sundays) might be just your speed. Set in Koller Park, with access to music and drinks, this event hosts up & coming bands from around the Midwest with a natural backdrop that makes you feel in touch with nature. June Bloom Arts & Crafts Festival

This annual event is held near the public beach in Minocqua, WI every year in... you guessed it.. June. With over 50 vendors offering a wide variety of handmade crafts, there is something for everyone. Items for sale typically include locally-made pottery, photography, tapestries, apparel, skin care, Native American gifts, jewelry, wood work, fiberart and so much more. Hodag Country Music Festival

This 4-day massive festival in Rhinelander, WI, brings in thousands of people from across the Midwest to celebrate the best in country music. Tents and RV's line the edges while crowds of people dance near the stage. As of 2021, this will be their 43rd annual festival full of food, fun and family memories! Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl Pow-Wows - Weekly

This weekly event offers guests an opportunity to explore the cultural traditions of the native Ojibwe people of the area. Through music and dance, this Native American tribal festival educates new generations of the rich history of the Ojibwe tribe through storytelling while keeping their ancient traditions alive. Guests can browse local artisan goods and enjoy traditional Native cuisine. This event not only provides hours of entertainment for all ages in a beautiful Northwoods setting, but it also infuses the local community with much needed resources. Every Friday from 8am to 1pm, local farmers and artisans set up tents in the sunshine to offer their produce and goods. From beets and carrots to wild honey and specialty breads, Minocqua's farmers market is an excellent source for local finds.
